Monte Vista, Mount Miguel Compete in GUHSD Cheer Competition 2011

Cheer squads from schools all over East County performed routines and showed lots of school spirit.

The 2011 Grossmont Union High School Cheer Competition went down Wednesday night, beating the rain by performing in the gymnasium at El Cajon Valley High School.

West Hills came out with second place in Varsity Advanced, nearly keeping up with the stunning, and hard to beat, Granite Hills cheer squad, which went home as Grand Champions. The Monte Vista and Mount Miguel squads did not place. Their performances can be seen in the videos.

Teams competed at the junior varsity, varsity, varsity advanced and varsity co-ed levels, as well as jumper and tumbler competitions.
