Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that backed up traffic on Interstate 8 in the La Mesa area early Wednesday, authorities said.
The crash on westbound Interstate 8 east of 70th Street, occurred about 7:10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued a SigAlert due to two lanes of the freeway being blocked.
Paramedics took two patients to Sharp Hospital, a Heartland fire dispatcher said. The extent of their injuries was not immediately released.
