Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect on Lake Murray Blvd.

The suspect passed the note to a teller at the Wells Fargo branch at 5610 Lake Murray Blvd. Friday afternoon.

A man used a demand note to rob a bank in La Mesa of an undisclosed amount of cash Friday.

The suspect passed the note to a teller at the Wells Fargo branch at 5610 Lake Murray Blvd. shortly after 4:30 p.m., then left on foot with the cash, La Mesa police Sgt. Katy Lynch said.

He headed headed north through the parking lot and no vehicle was seen, Lynch said.

The suspect was described as in his 50s, about 5 feet 7 with a heavy build and had graying "salt and pepper" hair and a mustache. He was wearing a gray collared shirt, either jeans or tan pants and was carrying what appeared to be a greenish-colored reusable shopping bag.
