Peggy Pile Elliott, 91, Dies; Supporter of Hospital Auxiliary

The Missouri native also supported arts charities and medical societies.

Peggy Pile Elliott, 91, a Missouri native who moved to La Mesa more than 50 years ago, died May 30, according to Legacy.com.

She followed her late husband Gladden Elliot to the area as he took positions as a radiologist and  member of medical groups. Peggy, according the report, supported numerous medical and arts charities, including the Grossmont Hospital Foundation and the San Diego and the California State Medical Society Auxiliaries.

The mother of two and grandmother of five was married to Gladden for nearly 60 years until his death in 2000. Three years later, she married her high school sweetheart Frank Pelot, who survives her.
