David Allen Rochester Jr., 54; Services are Saturday in La Mesa
The Lodi native was a plant enthusiast and head of the San Diego Bonsai Club.
Services for David Allen Rochester Jr., 54, who died Sunday, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday June 15 at New Life Presbyterian Church of La Mesa, according to Legacy.com.
The El Cajon musician and carpenter was born in Lodi. He became an expert with bonsai plants was a member of the San Diego Bonsai Club for 20 years before taking over as president, according to a web site with a biography in his memory.
He also created pots and other ceramics. His work can be seen at bonsaiartisans.com. He was a long-time Christian and once performed with a spiritual folk band.
He was a father of four and grandfather of two.
