I've worked in La Mesa since I was 16 in various positions and occupations.  It seems I was spending more time in La Mesa than in either of my previous addresses in El Cajon and Santee.  So I finally became a resident in 2011 and could not be happier.  Especially with all the gas money I'm saving :)
