I'm a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in District 50, the seat currently held by Mr. Duncan Hunter.  My candidacy poses a simple, but very important question:  Is it POSSIBLE for an average working person in San Diego County to run for Congress - and WIN?

I will accept no contributions from PAC's, lobbyists, corporations or unions.  Only contributions from individuals, and none over $100, will be accepted.

The citizens of District 50 have been totally ignored by Mr. Hunter.  In July I left my job of 19 years at Superior Court Central to stand up, and oppose Mr. Hunter, whose votes in Congress are bought and paid for by defense contractors, lobbyists and PAC's.  This, and the Supreme Court decision in the Citizens United case (which has flooded the political landscape with millions of anonymous, untraceable dollars), has put our nation in real peril.

It's true that 94% of elections are won by the candidate who spends the most money.  My position regarding contributions reflects this core value - my vote in Congress will not be for sale.

The Democratic Party has not backed my candidacy, as they have determined that Mr. Hunter is unbeatable, particularly without mountains of special interest money.  I disagree.  PAC's and lobbyists can stuff a Congressman's pockets, but they can't stuff the ballot box.  I believe that ALL the people of District 50 need their own lobbyist in Washington.  With your help, that is what I will be.  America must return to it's origins as "The Land of Opportunity" for all.
