Thanks to some ambitious social groups in Spring Valley, along with San Diego Youth Services, the decision was made to lease the buildings out and form a community center that would be the heartbeat of improving the quality of life for those in Spring Valley and other areas of East County.</p> <p>The 26,000-square-foot classroom space is leased out by San Diego Youth Services to a variety of different tenants, including: The Fred Finch Youth Center, Head Start, San Diego Youth Services, the LM-SV School District, Spring Valley Community Church, Family Health Centers of San Diego and Child Development Associates. Each tenant provides much needed social services and community care for the residents of Spring Valley and other East County communities.</p> <p>In addition, the renovation of the campus within the last year has included a community garden, route: {:controller=>"articles", :action=>"show", :id=>"grant-will-help-spring-valley-community-garden-lay-down-roots-in-community"} -->, a new Kaboom! playground and walking trail and <!-- name: sports fields, which will be completed in August 2011.</p>
