The Water Conservation Garden is a unique partnership between water agencies, the City of San Diego and CuyamacaMore College, all who are concerned with preserving water resources in the region while serving the water needs of the people. The grounds feature colorful inviting walkways leading through beautiful gardens with educational information and fanciful art work. Visitors can also take advantage of a gift shop and plant nursery staffed by volunteers. For weddings and events, there is a lovely gazebo and garden area available.

The state Legislature in 1973 approved a change that made Helix Water District possible.
