The school offers advanced placement (AP) classes in physics, calculus, environmental science, psychology, U.S. and European history, government, English, Spanish, computer science and studio art.</p> <p>Along with an active tutoring service, the school offer Club College to help students with college planning and admissions projects. The school also has an active chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions. All students are required to do 40 hours of community service before they graduate, including 20 hours by the end of their sophomore year.</p> <p>An award-winning pipe and drum corps performs with the equally decorated marching band. Some of the organizations programs include: Campus Life (for high schools), and Campus Life M (for middle schools).</p> <p>The main office is located on the same property as Faith Chapel in Case de Oro, but is mainly used for administrative purposes. There are not events held at the offices, as most of their ministry work is done out in the field.</p> <p>SDYC ministers to all of San Diego County and serves about 300 youth per week, depending on the size and scope of the various meeting places.</p> <p>The group strives to share the life values, teachings and truth about who Jesus Christ was and how he changed the world. It is the hope that this will set the young people up with a foundation to make a positive impact on their schools, communities, cities, and beyond.</p> <p>The core staff of SD Youth for Christ are Don "Smitty" Smith, Executive Director; Tina Flannery, Area Director, East San Diego; Gina Melton, Santee Area Director; and Bill Chapin, Business Administrator.</p>
