You're concerned with Senator Yee's voting record? I was struck by his arms dealing and plans toRead More route money to Muslim terrorists. In what world is that hapless?
Kevin George April 8, 2014 at 11:50 am
"I want this (quid) for that (quo)" while a hapless Leland protests, "No, no thatRead More would be illegal... but OK" sounds so quaint and innocent doesn't it? Almost as if he was being forced into importing shoulder fired rockets into the US. Remembering Sandy Hook("Leland Yee @LelandYee A year after Sandy Hook, let us recommit ourselves to working towards a safer society") would be harder to do after a 777 is shot down at a US airport.

It is no coincidence that the biggest gun control zealot in the legislature was caught smugglingRead More guns to mobsters and terrorists. The two acts go hand in hand. If the law abiding public is disarmed the criminal's/terrorist's gun becomes many times more effective. Gun control itself is the crime of murder being perpetrated against the people by a corrupt government. Leaving the people unable to defend themselves is tantamount to leaving someone marooned in the desert or on an island with no food or water, it's murder plain and simple.

Let me get this straight Kamala, my ability to carry a concealed weapon removes " lawRead More enforcement's authority to protect public safety"? What? Their authority remains in tact no matter what any Citizen does. They STILL have the authority to issue CCWs, the Courts decision merely redefines the parameters. Either the Attorney General doesn't know the difference between authority and ability or she is using this language to inflame the debate. And even the term ability is a stretch. And be sure to use a picture of a big black scary gun pointing at you, rather than one of the Court or Kamala, nice touch.

I just hate when a civil right can be exercised on nothing more than a person's desire to do so!

Jay is right, We can no longer pump water offshore, Toilet to tap is inevitable if we want toRead More continue to live here in the desert. And with the Sierra club shut down now would be a good time to apply for more permits to build De-Sal plants.
Jay Berman February 27, 2014 at 10:06 am
Ed, I don't think it was Sierra Club .. it was Coastkeeper and Surfrider that doubled the cost ofRead More the desal .. the mitigation for dumping salt water into salt water ... we need major loser pays legislation to stop these illegitimate suits .. I also think it is totally inefficient to have so many water districts in the county, Encinitas has 2 districts within its borders, maybe 3 (Leucadia ?) They all have resources and duplicate each other ... We should have a single county authority with representatives from each community. The savings would be incredible.
San Diego County officials will hand out more than 1,900 child car seats for free this year. Patch file photo.
Jake Mahamood February 25, 2014 at 09:25 am
First off, its not "the state" that is giving the grant, its the tax payers, second, I 'llRead More bet everyone showing to collect the seats, has an iphone.
Jay Berman February 26, 2014 at 09:01 am
I hope they check for a valid drivers license with a matching auto registration before giving awayRead More these way overpriced seats .... my guess is a lot of the people getting these seats are unlicensed illegal aliens ...

Hey remember when local law enforcement attributed a crime rate increase to a policy and PatchRead More thought they knew better next thing you know Patch will be telling people that CO2 causes fake goreball warmeninging when it makes the sunspots mad even though everybody knows that it's the luminiferous ether acting on the Van Allen Belt to make Halliburton richer I do?

If you journalists out there are looking for a really hot story call up Sheriff Gore and ask him whyRead More he closed down the Descanso Detention Facility at almost exactly the same time Governor Brown announced the transfer of state inmates to county jails.
