City Council Meeting

• City of La Mesa City Council will meet at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at City Hall. City Council meeting agenda is available to view online.

• Meet and greet with local businessmen and women in East County. La Mesa Chamber of Commerce will host a summer mixer. The event is free from Chamber members and $10 for non-members. Summer Mixer will start at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at the Holiday Inn, 8000 Parkway Drive.

• Celebrate Spring Valley Library's 10th anniversary at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14. Cake will provided! 

• Travel back in time in the Village. Back to the 50's Car Show will feature vintage cars along  La Mesa Blvd between Acacia and Fourth Streets. Cruise over to the village at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15. 

• Head up to Mt. Helix for an evening of art for a great cause. The Sixth Annual heART of Mt. Helix will feature music, food, auctions and more. Proceeds will benefit the preservation and enhancement of Mt. Helix Park. Tickets are $50-$100. heART of Mt. Helix will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 at Mt. Helix Park.
