Park Project Day

Come join us as we make a positive impact in our own neighborhood by cleaning up, staining and re-painting the arbors in the native vegetation area of the park and to build a stronger sense of community in our neighborhoods by working on a common project.

Over years of limited park budgets and vandalism by students, the shade arbors have fallen into disrepair.  The structures are in need of maintenance, the vines that once covered the structures have died, and the tables and concrete have been vandalized.  Our project is to rehabilitate the shade arbors and to make them appealing to park visitors.  It is a matter to community pride to have public parks that are usable and inviting.
