On May 1, come walk or run in the 2nd annual Race for the Playground! to benefit the Lake Murray Playground Project. Choose our 1 mile or 5K courses along the beautiful shores of Lake Murray. It's an easy course - paved and perfectly suited for families and strollers! Registration includes entry into the race and a pancake breakfast.

Lake Murray Community Park at 7001 Murray Park Drive, San Diego, CA 92119
The 5K and 1 mile courses will run along the paved paths surrounding Lake Murray. The course is very flat and jogging strollers are welcome (no bicycles, please)!
Water:
We will have a water station on the 5K course and water at the start/finish line for both races.
Timing:
This event is a fun run/walk. We do not publish times for all racers. We will call times at the finish line where we will have a clock. If you are a serious runner who really wants to know your time, be sure to check the clock or wear a stop watch.
Activities:
This event is all about the park and the playground. Bring the whole family! We will have a Kids Health and Fitness Expo, live music, kids activities, a vendor exhibit area, an opportunity drawing and a fabulous Post Race Pancake Breakfast and live music entertainment.
Be sure to bring some cash so you can get in on the action. Registration prices include the race (and Tshirt if you requested) and a ticket for the Pancake Breakfast, provided by the Lake Murray Kiwanis. Spectators and guests may also purchase a ticket to the pancake breakfast at the event ($5 each)
