Tell the CPUC What You Think About Dirty Power - Thurs, Mar 21, 9 a.m.

"The public is increasingly aware of the CPUC's pro-utility, anti-consumer bias, and deeply inculcated corruption." -D. Bauder / SD Reader

The Buck Stops Here!
. . .IN SUNNY SAN DIEGO, ON DIRTY POWER AND SHADY BUSINESS CONDUCT.

NOT-SO-FUNNY BUSINESS:  Controversial inter-agency communications (CEC & CPUC), as well as, CPUC private meetings with “stakeholders” have been exposed.

A San Diego Reader article reveals that the "CPUC head requested another agency [CEC] to write a letter to help SDGE".  At this potent Patch post, you can view copies of some of those illegal communications

As stated in the sunny San Diego Reader article:  “The public is increasingly aware of the CPUC's pro-utility, anti-consumer bias, and deeply inculcated corruption.”

More validation of that claim made news this week in San Diego.  KUSI Turko Files exposes a private CPUC "stakeholder" meeting planned in sunny La Jolla next week.   A follow-up Turko Files video reports the status of a lawsuit filed by an advocate contesting the lawfulness of private CPUC "stakeholder" meetings.  As the plaintiff states, “There is a reason we have these public meeting laws”.  The next court date in this lawsuit is Monday, March 18, 2:00 pm at San Diego Superior Court, 330 West Broadway, SD 92101, Dept. 72, 6th floor.

THE FALL-TO-SPRING-DELAYED CPUC VOTE:  Since November, when a CPUC proposed-decision came out denying need for two fossil fuel power plants (Quail Brush & Pio Pico), the CPUC has postponed a final vote 5 times!   Meanwhile "private stakeholders" have lobbied for months to alter the decision.

As mentioned, the CPUC is coming to sunny San Diego to meet privately with "stakeholders".  The following morning their business meeting is open to the public.  Their final vote on the need for the power plants is expected then.

The public CPUC meeting will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 9 a.m.  in sunny Kearny Mesa at the County of San Diego Operations Center at 5520 Overland Ave, San Diego, CA 92123.
