Mission Trails to Host Summer Workshops and Adventures

Summer camps in East County are still available for kids at Mission Trails Regional Park in July and August.

Looking for something fun to do for the kiddos?

Mission Trails Regional Park will host a series of art workshops and adventures all summer long.

Artist Nora Kearney-Johnson will teach art classes geared towards children ages 4-14.

Nora’s Art Workshop and summer camp will kick off 9 a.m. to Noon on Monday, July 15 until Friday, July 19.

Cost is $155 per student for the entire week or $15 per 90 min class. Fees will include art supplies.

Children’s Summer Nature Adventures are at 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Sunday in July and August. Kids will learn all about nature through songs, puppets, real pelts, replicated skulls, scats, tracks and taxidermy specimen.

Nature adventure classes are $10 per class, $8 for 3-9 classes or $70 for 10 classes paid in advance. Adults and kids under 3 are free.
