Slugfest at Northmont School Fields in Fletcher Hills League
Mets sting the Rays in CAPS division play Tuesday at northeast La Mesa elementary school.
The Mets beat the Rays 14-9 Tuesday at Northmont Elementary School ballfields in a CAPS division game in the Fletcher Hills Little League. But the score doesn't reflect the learning and fun that goes on between coaches and players, including long-haired girls in heavy-duty face masks.  Mets are managed by Peter Vasilou and the Rays are skippered by Jon Brown. BTW, CAPS stands for coach-assisted pitching—one level above T-Ball in the national pastime. And check the league site for information on Saturday’s Peace, Love and Little League dinner-dance at Carlton Oaks Golf Club in Santee.
