The Monte Vista High School baseball team fell to league rival West Hills Wednesday, losing 7-2.
Wolf Pack junior pitcher David Hesslink picked up the win after tossing seven strong innings. Hesslink scattered seven hits and gave up two earned runs to go along with five strikeouts. His effort pushed the Wolfpack's record to 4-1 on the year.
Senior infielder Paul O'Connor went 3-for-4, including a first-inning homer to pace the Monarchs, who fell to 0-3 on the season.
