Helix Charter High School girls softball scored early and often in a 15-1 win over league rival Mount Miguel High School.
The Scotties were fueled by a nine-run first inning. They added six more runs in the fourth inning en route to the blowout win.

Senior pitcher Keana Nakata pitched three scoreless innings and added an RBI double for Helix. Senior Sydni Toilolo had an RBI double in the first inning. Junior catcher Desirae Bordine blasted a two-run double over the head of the centerfielder in the first inning as well, as they jumped all over Matadors pitcher Nicole Vargas.
Senior Kai Penn had a two-run triple in the fourth inning, junior outfielder Bray Monterossa had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored, and senior Chanelle Ward had three runs scored.
