Patch Athlete of the Week: Ray Peterson, Helix Outfielder

In two games in April, Peterson is 3-7 at the plate, with 3 runs scored, 3 RBIs, 1 HR and 1 SB.

Helix Charter High School senior outfielder Ray Peterson says that the success of his team all comes down to family. Asked what the Scotties, who started 1-5 on the season, had to do to improve, the team leader said, "We have to start hanging out more, playing together, and clicking."

Those words must have worked, as Helix has rattled off six wins in its last eight games to equalize its record to 7-7 on the year.

Peterson, multi-sport athlete growing up who focused on baseball after a football injury, has been a big reason why.
