Mike Derr Tops Spring Valley Runners at Coronado Valentine's 10K
There were only three competitors from Spring Valley, in a field of more than 1,200.
Mike Derr, Emmanual Deck, and Alice Klarkowski were the only runners from Spring Valley Sunday morning in the Coronado Valentine’s 10-kilometer run.
Some 1,200 runners entered the race (see attached), which began and finished at Tidelands Park with the San Diego-Coronado Bridge looming in the background on a cool overcast day with occasional drizzles.
But the morning was brightened by the many couples entered in the 6.2-mile run, including La Mesans Charlene and Tracy Giordano and Florian and Farah Hedwig.
