Vernal Pool Work Day! At San Diego National Wildlife Refuge

Join US Fish & Wildlife Service staff to remove non-native plants from around vernal pools, one of our most amazing and most imperiled habitats.

You’ll get a chance to learn about vernal pool creatures and maybe see some nearby Burrowing owls!

Wear long pants, a hat, gloves (if you have them) and sturdy shoes. Bring sunscreen or rain protection, as the weather indicates. Bring water and a water bottle if you have one. Gloves, tools, water and snacks will be provided.

We are happy to sign for community service or extra credit hours.

RSVP REQUIRED, BECAUSE MEETING LOCATION MAY CHANGE DUE TO ANTICIPATED RAIN!

PLEASE contact Community Outreach Coordinator Cathy Chadwick.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
