Inaugural Patriot Lakeshore 10k/5k Run/Walk

Make a Memorial weekend memory at the inaugural Patriot Lakeshore 10k/5k Run/Walk at Lake Murray on May 26 with a 7:30 race start time.

The scenic and newly USATF certified course winds above the lake’s shoreline and offers views of the lake, hillside and wildlife. The course is an out and back, mostly flat and is a great course for the first time race participant or seasoned athlete.  All runners will be timed with results posted at the end of the race. The course will include two water stations and first aid on the course and at the finish line. At the finish line, participants can energize with refreshments and music played by  the Patrick Henry High School marching band.

Race fees

Participant fees for adults are $40 for the 10k and $30 for 5k, youths 13 and under the 10k is $30 and 5k $20.  Child in stroller, must be accompanied by adult participant, is $10.  These fees are through May 19 and slightly higher.  Race registration closes at midnight May 24. Race Swag

Each participant will receive a finisher’s medal especially designed for the race, an American flag to wave at the finish line and take home as a memento. The finish line will include lively music, fresh fruit provided by Windmill Farms and family activities including face painting, games, door prizes including San Diego Zoo Passes, Complimentary Meal passes to Souplantation and Road ID certificates.

Prizes

The first place male and female in each age category will receive a spa certificate.  The age categories are 18 and under, and 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44,45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64,65-69, 70-74,75-79, 80 & above.   

Raising Funds

A portion of the race proceeds will benefit Patrick Henry High School and the Wounded Warrior Project.
