Champions Being Crowned in Four La Mesa Leagues This Week
Majors division play wraps up the season in Fletcher Hills, La Mesa National, Lake Murray and Rolando leagues.
Today (Wednesday) marks the end of regular season play in all divisions of the La Mesa National Little League. In the majors division Tuesday afternoon at Kuhlken Field, the Phillies beat the Red Sox 5-4, stretching the playoffs to a rematch game between the two teams at 5 p.m. Wednesday to decide the division champions.
LMNLL Closing Day ceremonies are 5 p.m. Friday, June 3, at Kuhlken Field. In the major division of the Lake Murray Little League, the A's beat the Padres 5-3. The Padres and the A's will compete again in a second championship game at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Sunset Park/Madrid Field.
In the Fletcher Hills Little League, the major Orioles will play the Tigers at 6 p.m. Friday in a championship game at Mor Field. And in the majors division of Rolando Little League, the Yankees play the A's at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Rolando Field.
