Update: Prep Football Games to Go On as Scheduled

Coronado High has moved its scheduled 7:30 p.m. home opener to a 3 p.m. kickoff.

With virtually all areas in San Diego County restored to power by early Friday morning, the entire slate of high school football games will be played as scheduled, even with schools not in session.

Coronado High will open its home season against Ross Sheppard, a team from Edmonton, Alberta, but has moved up the kickoff from 7:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. St. Augustine also has moved up its game with Hoover at Mesa College from 6:30 to 5 p.m.

Morse at Ramona, 7:30 p.m.

Grossmont vs. University City at La Jolla High School, 7 p.m.

Mount Miguel at Valhalla, 7 p.m.

La Jolla at West Hills, 7 p.m.

Kearny at Santana, 7 p.m.

Calipatria at La Jolla Country Day, 7 p.m.
