Pioneers of TV Dramatized in Helix Version of Farnsworth Invention

Highland Players rehearsed the Aaron Sorkin work first done at La Jolla Playhouse in 2007. Performances begin Wednesday at Helix Charter High School.

Four years after the La Jolla Playhouse first performed it, The Farnsworth Invention is coming to Helix Charter High School.  Written by West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin, the play was rehearsed Monday afternoon at the Highland Players Theater on campus.  Performances will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at plus a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee. Tickets are available at the Student Store ($8 with an ASB card, $10 without) or at the Student Store Online ($10).

Under the direction of Paul Reams, the student players are Ian Deeds (Young Philo), Val Burke (Young Sarnoff), Nick Nguyen (George Everson), Alyssa Salacup (Wachtel), Vasilisa Crosthwaite (Donna Lipponcott), Ivan Rubalcaba (Mr. Tollman), Annie Nowak (Leslie Gorrell), London Jones (Cliff), Austin Potts (David Sarnoff), Nick Orr (Harlan), Mark Lepper (Bartender), Adair Geary (Zworkyin), Robert Bradvica (Philo Farnsworth), Jessica Merghart (Betty), Gerren Hall (Stan), Amber Sonka (Agnes),  Katie Wrieden (Pem Farnsworth), Dominique Robinson (Walter Gifford),  Jamie Trevino (Crocker) and Daniela Brady (Lizette Sarnoff).
