Photo Gallery: It's Book Time with Ronald McDonald

Ronald McDonald is touring through libraries to help enlighten children with the power of reading, just in time for the start of a new school year.

With the help of his pals "Stoogie" the bookworm, the "Dictionary" and production manager Emir Yonzon, Ronald McDonald came out to local libraries including the branch on Wednesday, Aug. 24 and the branch on Thursday, Aug. 25.

The presentations were very family-friendly and aimed toward helping students in elementary school. The show included interactive reading, magic tricks and a fun game show questionnaire to help keep the kids aware of different things, such as proper book care.

At the end of the show, bookmarks were given out to students. After reading 10 books and listing the titles on the back of the bookmark, a teacher or librarian can sign the bookmark, so that the kids can come in to any McDonald’s location for a free regular size hamburger. But be careful of the Hamburglar, kids!
