Photo Exhibit by Grossmont High Teacher Opens Soon at Mission Trails

Eileen Mandell will show 45 of her works at Visitor Center in solo effort titled "Traveling Light."

Those who teach also get exhibited.

Eileen Mandell, a photography and digital arts teacher at Grossmont High School and head of the Art Department, has a solo exhibition at Mission Trails Regional Park in San Diego beginning this weekend.

Her exhibit—titled “Traveling Light”—is in the Visitor Center Gallery and include 45 of her color and infrared photographs.

They will be on display through Dec. 2.

“Mission Trails Regional Park is beautiful this time of year,” Mandell says. “The visitor center overlooks the desert landscape and you can watch all the rock climbers and hikers (or join them!).”

Her works go on display by Saturday afternoon. An opening reception is set for 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6.

The Visitor Center is at 1 Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego—off Mission Gorge Road.
