La Mesa-Spring Valley Schools Will Close for Thursday Due to Fires
More than two dozen school districts have announced closures in San Diego County.
La Mesa-Spring Valley School District announced it will be closed on Thursday.
It posted the following announcement on its website:
All La Mesa-Spring Valley School District schools will be closed on Thursday, May 15, 2014 due to fires in the area. We will continue to monitor the fire situation and alert families as to school re-opening. We anticipate re-opening on Friday, May 16.
Due to a fire in the vicinity of Loma Elementary School, Loma ESS students will be bused to Sweetwater Springs Elementary School. Loma students may be picked up at Sweetwater Springs Elementary at 10129 Austin Drive, Spring Valley, CA 91977. All students are safe and the situation is under control.
