La Mesa Charter School Ranked Eighth in State API Scores

College Prep Middle School scored 920 on its API scores, a 61-point increase from last year.

With the release of state API scores last week, schools in La Mesa and Spring Valley, including those of the local school district showed increases across-the-board.

But another La Mesa-area school – College Prep Middle School – showed marked improvements and its scores rank it among the top 10 in schools across the state.

According to a blog on the school's website, the school registered an API score of 920, which data suggests ranks it No. 8 in the state (see attached PDF). The school, located on Jackson Drive, has an enrollment of 165, and serves grades 5-8. The score indicates a 61-point increase from last year.
