Helix Scores Once in Field Hockey Loss to Patrick Henry High School

Brenda Perez is lone scorer for Highlanders in game moved from San Carlos to La Mesa.

Helix Charter High School was nipped by Patrick Henry High in a 2-1 field hockey game Monday afternoon at the Scotties’ football field. Brenda Perez was the lone Helix scorer.

Originally scheduled at the San Carlos school, the event was moved because Henry's football field is torn up for installation of new artificial turf.

The Highlanders are now 1-3-1 on the season after the loss. Head coach is Cheryl Tyler and assistant coach is Ken Jenkins. The Scotties next play Mission Hills High, hosting the San Marcos school at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
