Grossmont, West Hills Pool Their Resources in Final Meet Before League Championships

Grossmont High School team outscored West Hills Thursday afternoon at Santana’s pool in Santee in the last meet before league championships.

Foothiller winners included the boys 200 medley team of Caleb Kingsbury, Nathan Bailey, Daniel Dossegger and Ryan Reed in 1:47.37; T. Jewel, diving; S. Monaghan, 500 freestyle, 5:42.92; Clare Curran, 200 medley, 2:16.90; Holly Callahan, 100 butterfly, 1:06.31; Nicole Tex, 500 freestyle, 5:30.24; and Clare Curran, 100 breastroke, 1:12.29.

Winners for the Wolf Pack included Caleb Davies in the 200 freestyle, 1:51.10; Sam Robbins in the 200 individual medley; Luke Davies in the 50 freestyle, 23.37; Caleb Davies, 100 butterfly, 52.36; Luke Davies, 100 freestyle, 52.36; Robbins, Zach Tong, Luke Davies and Caleb Davies, relay, 1:34.36; Julia Toronczak, Jessica Lazor, Celeste Fessler and Leah Wynant in the 200 medley relay, 2:03.21; Julia Toronczak in the 200 freestyle, 2:03.30; Jessica Lazor, 50 freestyle, 26.21; Wynant, 100 freestyle, 58.75; Toronczak, Lazor, Wynant and Stacey Kimari, 200 freestyle relay; and Toronczak, 100 backstroke, 1:04.02.

Diving finals are May 9 at Helix High School. JV preliminaries are May 10, varsity prelims May 11; JV finals, May 12, and varsity finals May 3—all beginning at 4:30 each day at Grossmont’s recently remodeled pool.
