Gallery: High School Track in Olympic Year as Foothillers Host the Monarchs
Grossmont and Monte Vista athletes show speed, strength and skill at Thursday dual meet.
At its second track meet of the season, Grossmont High School hosted Monte Vista on Thursday afternoon. Varsity and junior varsity took turns in the runs, sprints, jumps, hurdles and throws during a season that culminates May 11 with Grossmont Conference finals at Mount Miguel. CIF San Diego Section finals are May 26 at Mt. Carmel High School. On Thursday, March 22, the Hillers hosts Valhalla while Mount Miguel hosts Monte Vista. On March 24, athletes will compete in the Asics Mt. Carmel Invitational.
