Neighborhood Healthcare Free Back-to-School Event

Free Back-to-School event offers backpacks with school supplies, T-DAP vaccines, children’s festival and lunch for estimated 200 attendees.

On Thursday, August 11 Neighborhood Healthcare and New Seasons Church will work together to prepare East County students to return to school in the fall.

The free back-to-school event will feature backpacks filled with school supplies, lunch for children under age 18 provided by the Summer Food Service Program, and complimentary T-DAP vaccinations courtesy of Neighborhood Healthcare. (All students entering grades 7-12 this year in California must have an current T-DAP vaccination before they will be allowed to enter school.)

Additionally, there will be healthy food samples and demonstrations. Families can learn about CalFresh, a food stamp program, and see if they qualify.
