LMMS History Day Announcement

On Wednesday, June 6, 2012, La Mesa Middle School will be having our Third Annual 8th Grade History Day Faire. This event will include a re-enactment of the firing of Civil War “replica muskets” and the firing of a 10 pound “Parrot Gun” (replica cannon) loaded with “black powder”. This demonstration will result in very loud noises sounding in our neighborhoods. There will be no cause for alarm, although we have been told that the vibrations in the air have been known to set off car alarms in the immediate vicinity.

We will have approximately four (4) demonstrations between 11:40 am and 3:15 pm on that day.         We appreciate your support of this memorable experience for our students.
