Realtors offer free e-recycling in El Cajon on Friday afternoon, Jan. 31st

The Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors will host a free e-waste recycling collection from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, at the PSAR East County Service Center, 1150 Broadway, El Cajon. The event is open to the public to properly dispose of electronic waste (e-waste), including TVs, PC systems, laptops, printers, toner cartridges, hard drives, monitors, keyboards, mice, PDAs, networking equipment, mother board systems, landline and cellular phones, power supplies, copies, scanners, fax machines, stereos, home entertainment systems and VCR, VCD and DVD players. Items not accepted include kitchen appliances, light bulbs or batteries. PSAR officials said the recycling event will help reduce improper and illegal dumping in landfills, and protect the plant from various toxicities from reaching our soil and environment. For more event information, including a list of qualified e-products, contact PSAR by calling (619) 579-0333 or visit www.psar.org. PSAR, a 2,000-member trade group for San Diego area realtors, offers educational training, advocacy and other services and resources to its realtor members.
