La Mesa Resident, First Woman President of East County Realtor Association, Receives Honor

La Mesa realtor was the first woman president of an East County realtor association.

La Mesa resident Connie Butt, a realtor with Keller Williams Realty in La Mesa, was recently honored by the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors (PSAR) as the 2012 PSAR Veteran Member of the Year.

 

Butt has been a full-time realtor since May 1972, and has specialized in 1031 tax deferred exchange transactions since 1986. In 1983, she was elected as the first woman president of the East San Diego County Association of Realtors (ESDCAR), now known as the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors. In 1999, she was named ESDCAR Realtor of the Year.

Butt has served on numerous realtor committees dealing with such real estate industry issues as professional standards, government affairs, ethics, arbitration and hearings. Her extensive experience and devotion to the real estate professional has earned her honorary life membership in the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

The Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors (PSAR), founded in 1928, offers educational training, advocacy and other services and resources to its realtor members. In 2012, PSAR became a 1,900-member realtors association following a merger of the El Cajon-based, 800-member East San Diego County Association of Realtors, and the Chula Vista-based, 1,100-member Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors.
