Congresswoman Susan Davis (CA-53) convened one of her signature Neighborhood Days in El Cajon on Monday evening, October 21, meeting with new constituents. More than 80 people filled the Griffin Center at Grossmont College for a town hall-style discussion with their local U.S Representative.
“It’s always inspiring to see so many people engaged in the democratic process,” said Davis. “There were a wide range of opinions in the room, but everyone was respectful of each others’ views. Maybe Congress can learn something from our community.”
Davis provided an update on what is happening in Congress then took questions and listened to the thoughts and idea of constituents. The issues ranged from the recent government shutdown to student financial aid and much more.

Since the new congressional lines were drawn, Davis now represents parts of East County, including La Mesa and parts of El Cajon, in the U.S. House of Representatives.
