The Lunch Box Claims Breakfast of Champions in Readers' Choice Poll

Despite its mid-day meal designation, The has ousted all other comers as the Readers' Choice selection for in the La Mesa-Mount Helix area.

After eventually being ommitted from the original poll, it was added later in the day and the votes started rolling in. The Lunch Box received 27 percent of the vote, including many more votes in the comments section.

The Lunch Box and its operator Megan Custeau were featured in a Patch profile in February 2011.

and each garnered 15 percent of the total vote. DZ Akins (10 percent), (4 percent) were also popular in the comments section.
