President Obama confirms State Department verdict against Canadian-American oil project.

Two months after Mayor Art Madrid joined 102 other U.S. mayors in opposing a Canada-to-Texas pipeline expected to cost $7 billion, President Barack Obama rejected the Keystone XL project. Obama on Wednesday agreed with the State Department decision not to allow the project from Canada through the Plains and Midwest to the Gulf of Mexico.
