President Obama Makes Campaign Stop In San Diego Monday

The president is stopping San Diego as part of a west coast swing along the campaign trail.

President Barack Obama is bringing his re-election effort to San Diego Monday. Air Force One is scheduled to land at MCAS Miramar at 1:40 p.m. From there, the president is expected to head to a La Jolla home for a private fundraising event before returning to the air base so he can fly to Los Angeles for several other fundraisers.

Though he isn't expected to visit Spring Valley or neighboring communities, it's possible that traffic along several San Diego freeways could be affected, including I-15 and SR-52. If you are heading in that direction this afternoon and evening, be mindful.

Patch will have a story later today about the fundraiser, along with a photo gallery. Check back throughout the day for the latest.
