Free Downtown Parking in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Here's what's open and closed for the federal holiday, Monday, Jan. 18.
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, government offices and services are closed today, Monday.
The holiday marking the civil rights leader's birthday—actually Jan. 15—is the third Monday of January each year.
- La Mesa city offices, including City Hall, schools, post offices, banks, and libraries are closed.
- Trash will be collected on a normal schedule, and trolleys and buses are running.
- State, county and federal offices, including courts, are closed.
- Parking meters are not enforced today.
