Council Set to Honor 3 Teens Who Aided Bleeding Woman

La Mesa Middle School boys will be recognized at Tuesday's 6 p.m. council meeting.

Councilmen Ernie Ewin and Mark Arapostathis will recognize three students at Tuesday’s City Council meeting. Xenon Richards and Daniel and Justin McRae will be commended for being the first of many passers-by to help a woman they found bleeding May 11 in The Village.

“This is wonderful and rekindles the image of what is ‘right’ with our youth,” Ewin said.

In response to ,  Xenon’s mom commented: “I couldn't be prouder of [Xenon] even though I’m proud of him every day. I knew he would never look the other way when someone needed help. He never has.”
