Man and Woman Sought On Felony Warrants Arrested In Spring Valley

Sheriff's deputies arrested a man and woman, who were wanted on felony warrants, in Spring Valley on Thursday.

At about 2:45 p.m. sheriff's deputies and parole agents surrounded a home in the 800 block of Felicita Avenue. Josue Rodriquez, 32, and Michele Salas, 34, were inside. They surrendered peacefully and were taken into custody after an announcement was made from a sheriff's helicopter, according to Sgt. Chris Davis.

Rodriquez is a documented gang member who had been wanted since 2009 for a felony no bail warant for narcotics trafficking and possession of an illegal weapon.

It is unknown at this time what the warrant on Salas was for.

Davis said both Rodriquez and Salas were under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of their arrest.

Law enforcement officers searched the home after the arrests, and found illegal weapons, including two bily clubs, and possibly stolen property, Davis said.
