Three Arrested on Suspicion of Residential Burglary in La Mesa

A citizen gave detailed descriptions of the suspects, which helped lead to their arrests.

On Tuesday morning, responded to a call that someone was breaking into a residence in the 7600 block of Seattle Drive, in La Mesa.

Police arrived at the scene, but the suspects fled the area before the officers arrival.

However, police got detailed descriptions of the suspects from citizens and local residents, who provided updated information during the search. With the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department, and the ASTREA helicopter, officers searched the area for the suspects, and were able to locate and apprehend three individuals on suspicion of residential burlary.

The supects are Bianca Roman, 19, from Spring Valley, who was booked at Las Colinas, David Monegro, 20, from National City, who was booked at County Jail,  and a 17-year-old male juvenile from National City, who was booked at Juvenile Hall.

Officers found Roman sitting in a parked vehicle near the burglary and it was later determined to be the get-away vehicle.  Approximately twenty minutes later, officers located the two other outstanding suspects in the 7300 block of University Avenue.

Monegro has an arraignment scheduled for Thursday, March 22. Bail is set at $25,000. He is being charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and grand theft.

Arraignment information on Roman is not yet available.
