Teen Shot in Spring Valley; Suspect Arrested After Stolen Guns Found

The sheriff's department is investigating whether the arrested suspect shot the teen.

Sheriff’s deputies found a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the stomach in Spring Valley Friday afternoon in front of an apartment complex on Harness Street, according to the department.

A 19-year-old man that lives at the complex near Sweetwater Lane was arrested after deputies found stolen guns and other property that had been stolen in a burglary spree in the area, but it has not been determined whether the 19-year-old shot the 16-year-old, said Lt. Jim Walker.

The shooting victim was uncooperative with deputies, Walker said. He was taken to a hospital and his condition has not been released.
