Suspect Pleads Not Guilty in Spring Valley Fatal Shooting
Arren Dangler is suspected in the shooting death of 29-year-old Brian Keith Hammett, who was found fatally shot about 12:30 a.m. on June 15 in a driveway in the 8700 block of Troy Street.
A man accused in the shooting death of another man in Spring Valley and a home-invasion robbery two weeks earlier in Clairemont pleaded not guilty Thursday to murder and assault charges.
Arren William Dangler, 29, was ordered held on $5 million bail.
The defendant – who was arrested Saturday in downtown San Diego – was named in a warrant regarding a May 30 home-invasion robbery on Raffee Drive. The victim in that case was robbed by two men who answered a craigslist ad for a computer, taking cash and the victim's BMW, authorities said.

Dangler is also suspected in the , who was found fatally shot about 12:30 a.m. on June 15 in a driveway in the 8700 block of Troy Street, according to sheriff's deputies.
The defendant faces 43 years to life in prison if convicted.

A readiness conference is set for Aug. 15 and a preliminary hearing for Aug. 28.
