Oliveira's 19-year-old daughter and her 33-year-old boyfriend, a registered sex offender, reported him to authorities after seeing the posters.

at his arraignment on March 29. At that time, his attorney, Michael Earle, said that his client was simply looking out for his daughter, not wanting her to continue to date a registered sex offender. “He puts [help] wanted posters out there, but he didn’t have anybody who could actually carry the threat out. He doesn't run with that kind of crowd. He doesn't associate with criminals,” Earle said.
