Spring Valley Man Arrested for Selling Drugs Out of Mother's Home Day Care

Mario Solis, 27, is in custody after authorities found a sizable amount of marijuana and a loaded firearm in the home.

A Spring Valley man was in custody Friday after being charged with drug possession with intent to sell.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Mario Solis, 27, after obtaining a warrant to search his home in the 2800 block of Highlands Boulevard, where his mother operates a licensed child daycare center, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Maxin.

The search of the home was prompted by military authorities investigating Solis' 23-year-old brother – Michael Manglicmot, a Marine deserter – who was recently aprehended as a suspect in several robberies in both the Spring Valley area and Camp Pendleton.

Prior to his arrest, Manglicmot lived in the house with Solis and their mother.

The search yielded many stolen items, including U.S. Marine Corps body amour and night vision equipment, according to Maxin.
