Update: Sentencing Once Again Delayed for Lizeth Ochoa, Drew Ford Embezzler

The new date for the sentencing is Sept. 17. Ochoa, pleaded guilty on May 24 to having embezzled at least $500,000, according to court records. She faces a four-year prison term when she is sentenced.

Update: Tuesday, April 21, 4:05 p.m.

The sentencing date for Lizeth Guadalupe Ochoa has once again been pushed back, this time to Sept. 17. The reason for the continuation, according to San Diego County Deputy DA John Cross, is that Hon. Judge Eugenia Eyherabide, the residing judge in this case, was not present.

Ochoa was originally supposed to be sentenced on Aug. 6, but that date was pushed back to Aug. 21 because her attorney was not present.

Sentencing for Lizeth Guadalupe Ochoa, the former employee of in La Mesa, who in May pleaded guilty to one count of grand theft and one count of embezzlement from an employer, has been postponed until August 21.

Ochoa, 35, appeared in a San Diego County County courthouse Monday afternoon, where she waived her right to be sentenced on that day, instead opting to remain in custody until the 21st, when her defense attorney Thomas Warwick could be present.

Warwick was absent on Monday.
